About EMV 3D Secure (3D Secure 2.0), a credit card identity authentication service

S.RIDE has introduced EMV 3D Secure (3D Secure 2.0) for secure online payment.

About EMV 3D Secure (3D Secure 2.0)

3D Secure service is an identity authentication service recommended by international brands to prevent fraudulent use of stolen credit card numbers and other information and to ensure safe credit card transactions.
Each credit card company uses the device information of S.RIDE customers to determine the risk of unauthorized use and, if necessary, requires the input of a password to ensure the security of the relevant transaction.

Customers eligible for 3D Secure authentication

All customers are eligible for 3D Secure.

Credit cards, debit cards, and prepaid cards that do not support EMV 3D Secure (3D Secure 2.0) cannot be used for online payment at S.RIDE.

Apple Pay/CAB Card mobile payment is not applicable.

Regarding the timing of 3D Secure authentication

3D Secure authentication is performed at the discretion of the issuing credit card company, such as when registering credit card information with S.RIDE.

It depends on the credit card company or international brand used by each customer.

3D Secure Authentication Procedure

When registering your credit card information to S.RIDE, a screen may appear asking you to authenticate the merchant name "SRIDE" for a one yen payment. In that case, please follow the on-screen instructions to authenticate. Even in the case of successful authentication, 1 yen will be processed as a refund. (No fee will be charged for credit card registration.)
